I have a little bit of free time, I’m in stand-by a few days from my assignment on my current customer, I’ve finished a Request For Proposal (RFP) for a Disaster Recovery project and services, and now it’s time for the supplier to work!
So, I’ve asked a collegue “What’s hot in your agenda? May I help you on some topic?” Well, he gave me three subjects: innovation, organization 2.0 and document management.
I am in the technology area of the ICT Management Consulting Firm where we are employed, so he knew my skill, but the word “innovation” sounds me like “something difficult” …
I’ve started with a simple search on Google, in English and then in Italian:
Innovation: 110.000.000
Innovazione: 8.730.000
Definizione di innovazione: 572.000
Well, seems a lot of people is involved in innovation!
Then I’ve decided to change my approach, using a basic definition of innovation and innovate (Etymology: from the participle stem of Latin innovare (“‘renew’”).) http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/innovate ), applying common sense to the concept and read some paper from people with a strong reputation. In the next few days I’ll post my thoughts.
